The heroes fire a missile at the villain's fortress, and the boy represents this as pounding the earth with the tip of a toy missile, making explosion sounds and throwing handfuls of dirt into the air. His often repeated activity breaking up the clay with the tip of the toy missile had gradually eroded one edge of the pedestal.
