The elder princess, who was assumed to take the crown when the king passed, was known for her voracious sexual appetite. While the king was loved, the elder princess was perhaps the greater celebrity. The people thronged and lined the streets to see her. Here she walks with her attendants to a private pavilion.

Once inside she is strapped into a harness. She is on a stage, a raised platform, facing a dirt courtyard where a selection of the kingdom's warriors engage in mock gladiatorial contests. Each warrior has a large painted number on squares of cloth tied to his back and chest.
