The second of the three comic strips I did in art school (see Ziks) was the tale of Bay Bronte Woonda, who had been sent on a mission by General Deathsheads to destroy a planet.

We should pause a moment to admire the third frame on this page. I painted separately a background for this frame, took an out of focus photograph of it using a fancy camera we had at art school, which converted it to dots. This image was then copied to Letracopy, stuck over the drawing of the foreground and the appropriate sections scratched out.

At this point we encounter some dandelion-like floating insects, one of whom is questioning the virtue of selfless devotion to the hive.

At this point I started using a brush for much of my linework instead of a technical pen.

Bay and Belford have fled to where the ship's crew dare not follow.

The robot grows frustrated as its own clumsiness disrupts its carefully wrought achievement. Then Belford's clumsiness alerts the robot to their presence.

The robot reacts badly.

That concludes the story Bay.
